Wow!!!...I am so thankful to be saying that I can now call myself...Straitgirl77 LPN...It is truly an unbelievable feeling to see your name and your nursing license number listed next to it.

I'm 50 years old and really feel like I have accomplished something worthwhile....something that will last! It doesn't stop here though. Nursing is not a profession to take lightly...The learning never stops and I love to learn. I'm even feeling like I may have enough gumption to pursue my RN...after I rest up...lol!

Specializes in hospice, HH, LTC, ER,OR.

Congrats to you :)!!!

thank God i thought ii am the only jurassic pursuing to pass the nclex at this age. im also 50 and hoping to pass the exam too

Wonderful job!!!I will be 50 this year coming, and I have just finish up. I been studying for the boards but I am so afraid. I been out of school for a few months I had to work as a tech. I want this so bad, I been praying and studying for this to work out. For me I only want to be a LPN for so long. I been a tech for over 8 years, I thought I couldn't pass the school but I passed it with a 3.85 gpa only 2 C out of the whole program. Now I just got to take my boards, trying Kaplan, and a lot reading. At my school we had ATI so I been trying to keep it all together. I am so glad to done with the nursing program, now on to the next thing the boards.

Congratulations!! I also passed my NCLEX last year at age 65!!! It was a big accomplishment, so I know how you feel! You are never to old to reach your dream of being a Nurse!!
