I took NCLEX on Sunday morning at 9:00 am. The experience was nothing that I could have ever REMOTELY prepared for in advance.
I had around 135 questions, finished in two hours or so.
At question 75, I hoped the computer would shut off, and it didn't. It kept going until I thought I'm going to be here until 265.
I had no idea if I passed. I certainly didn't want to think I had failed, but the nagging fear was there for the following 49 hours.
My advice is the following:
~I took this after graduating six months ago. Don't ever think you have to take this test right after school. In fact, I think I would have probably failed since I was tired of studying right before graduation. Give yourself a break to enjoy life a little bit first.
~The last three or four questions before the test shut off were easy. I thought it was an indication of me failing, but that wasn't the case.
~I used the following study guides: NCLEX-RN review by NSNA, I bought a three week to NCSBN and read Kaplan in a sitting.
:balloons::balloons::balloons: I PASSED!!!! :balloons::balloons::balloons:
thank you for sharing your success story. god willing (we will;)) those of us that haven't taken the test yet will share our sucess stories soon as well!!
