Duodenal Ulcer - Epigastric pain- 2 to 3 hrs. after eating - Food intake relieves pain - Melena - Abdominal pain/ tenderness Gastric Ulcer - Increase pain after eating - Pain relieved by vomiting - Hematemesis (vomiting bright red blood) Care for Client with Cleft-Lip: - feed infant with rubber-tipped syringe or bubble frequently - rubber tip can be placed at the side of the mouth to avoid the operative area and to prevent sucking on the tubing - infants with cleft-lip swallow excess air, so they require frequent bubbling - clean site with saline or hydrogen peroxide after feeding - position on back or side or in an infant seat- prevent trauma to suture line - hold infant in upright position

  11. oh my golly! i took my nclex exam today and it was horrible (for me). i thought my computer would shut off at 75 just like what it did from my 3 previous exams, but it went all the way around 160. i had tons of prioritizations, medicines, infections, assignments, 4 med calculations, and 4 select all that apply. is this a good or bad sign? geez, i can't wait to see my result.
