I tooky nclex RN on yesterday did Pearson vue trick and got the. The PV trick is ture bc I used it in 2009 when I took the LPN. Suggest I took my exam in MD and the exam was straight forward and out of the Nclex prep books SAUNDERS IS VERY TURE TO THE EXAM. I used kaplan as well and felt it was to unnecessary info that I did not get on my exam.

I had a lot of SATA, delegation, exhibit chart, priority question , 1math, freq used med surg (meds). I used Saunders both times to study for nclex. If you think about Saunders is published by person vue. I would like to think they would :cheeky:put out the most accurate information. The PDF study tips was very helpful.

I would make another suggestion please study test taking skills I think this is the Key to taking the exam. Pls feel free tp msg me with any questions. Good luck pn your exam.

Congratulations on your success!!!! Did you do practice questions? If so, how many did you do daily and for how long? And was Saunders the only resource you utilized? Oh and what number did your test stop at?

I am taking my exam on saturday and using saunders book only..did u do the practice tests on the cd???If so, what are your usual scores???? THANK YOU AND CONGRATS RN! (:

on the nclex does anyone know what "follow up care" means? does it mean i pick the choice where the patient needs to be corrected? pls help!

I have the same question like @jsupra119. Can anyone answer that? If the question contains the word "follow-up" is it looking for a positive or negative response?? Does it mean like it "needs more intervention" pls help! Thanks nurses!!!

Yes I did do questions bf taking the I was working full time and I would do 25 question in the morning and 25 in the evening and I would reviwe and 100-150 on the weekend. I took the last two weeks off bf my exam and I studied content in my weak areas and studied TEST TAKING SKILLS!!! and I used the skills while during the questions. I used the yellow Sunders and I used Kaplan 2013-2014 from book store it had very good testing info and info about content areas of testing for the NCLEX. But I found kaplan questions had alot of info that was not needed for Nclex. As I said before I used Sunders before and it was very ture to the format style of the questions and I felt the same way this time. Again Persons vue is the publisher for Sunders.

what were your scores on the practice tests? I am using saunders too and only getting 60-70% :(

@ AlexisAndrea ur practice score dose not really matter just know ur content. I agree with her use Saunders for me i average 75-85% but i fail becos i was nervous n rushed my real exams. So i would say know ur content.

congratulations...i needed this..im very inspired.. need to be more positive!!!

Yes I was getting 60% and I never got 70. But I think if I would have studied Sanders from the start probably could got higher scores but 60 is not bad. As I said bf test taking skills is the most important you can do questions all day and still not pass the exam if you can't figure out what the question is asking you. Hope this helps
