first let me thank you all guys and suzzane for this wonderful blog! This blog helped me alot to attain this success! from random fact and kaye's QnA thread and everyone else's experiences from the exam.
1. I read the saunders book 4x
2. answer each system after reading the book on study mode
3. took note of my mistakes and saved it on a note pad
4. I enroled in kaplan
5. Read Exam cram and linda charity prio dele which is a must!
6. Lastly, Prior to my exam I read all the note from saunders system I did from the beginning and repeated it from scratch
With all of that hardwork and consistency I stopped at 75 for 45 minutes. I had infection control, prio dele, abg reading, 5 satas and 1 calcu.
thank you all guys! cheers! we nurses rock! and goodluck to those who are going to take the exam. you can do it! but do it with hardwork and consistency. :wink2:

even if you don't work, at all...hate to say it; but it looks to me as though you are doing way too much in one day using your saunder's text. while the chapters are short, there is much content that may need to be reviewed. let's not to mention the fact that you intend to do kaplan at night. with kaplan, there is an "expectation" that you will "read" the kaplan text prior to classroom content and/or review their chapter videos. kaplan closely matches nclex. but, the kaplan technique (decision tree) may not necessarily apply if you use it while studying saunders questions since saunders is more content based.
lacharity is an excellent source for delegation/prioritization, etc. there are well over 30 chapters of questions/case studies in this book. going through the book to just "answer questions" is not the best approach. you need to answer the questions and truly understand the rationales associated in order to even begin to do well on your nclex. this holds true with saunders and kaplan.
you didn't indicate what your complete time frame consists of (3 weeks for saunders/kaplan then 2 weeks lacharity, 5 weeks, 6 weeks, etc.) but you're putting a lot of reading into a 3 week time frame; along with attending an evening kaplan class. while you have good intentions, you may find yourself overwhelmed. i would suggest you slow down the pace....but, only you know what your mind and body can handle. your final weeks before you take your boards appear hectic.
i do wish you the best with your studies.
you will pass your nclex.
