I received my results today, and I'm happy to say I passed my NCLEX-RN on the first try! It was a shocker to me because I walked out of the testing room feeling like I failed it. I tried the PVT to see if it would charge me, and it didn't (tried six times to make sure).
I prepared for the NCLEX with Kaplan and Saunders (studied for 4 weeks, 80-100 questions/day). I did all of the Kaplan questions, and I would use Saunders to review any questions I got wrong.
My NCLEX was all over the place. I got questions from just about every area. I got SATAs, but I got a lot more priority questions. I got some EKGs and one calculation. I also got a lot of questions concerning nurse management and bioterrorism.
I'm so happy to be done with this part of my life!

Did you notice that the medicarion has only generic name provided on current NCLEX-RN? Thank you very much.
Congratulations:)

Congratulations! I test Friday, hopefully I pass as well!
Yes, I noticed that. I studied medication endings to help prepare for that.
Good luck to you!

Congrats:)
Thanks! Yes, my school used Kaplan throughout the program, and I was able to use the qbank questions.
Thank you for sharing these info., you have been so helpful. I will take mine on April 1st, 2015. However, I need to work on SATA part, wonder if Kaplan Q bank provides enough SATAs, is anywhere else we can find more SATAs?
One of the Kaplan test trainers is filled with nothing but SATA, and it was helpful. You can also use Saunders for SATA questions (the cd or register on Elsevier). I used it for more practice.
