I Passed ANCC FNP today!!!

I posted a few months back but quick background... I was ANCC certified as an Adult NP since 2005. I decided to go back for my FNP so I completed a Post Masters Program through UMASS Boston. Because I was already an Adult NP, I was A&E to do the 12 credit hour/300 clinical hour option. Well I did it!!! These boards were tough in my opinion. If you have any questions, now is the time to ask while it's fresh on my mind.

do u think you can help me to find the best response for some questions? I can't find the study guide for it, I forgot most of material after school because of surgery I had.

From what I heard AANP is more clinical than ANCC. I didn't realize that prior until reading different comments. I went with ANCC for my FNP because that's who I used for my ANP. As far as your questions ask and I will see if I can answer it.

I don't have problem with clinical but when it comes to ethical it is hard for me.

1-question like this. when teaching teenager what respond shows she understand to used OC pills?

I am not good with pill but i can remember to take this.

If my friend can do it i can do it.

I don't like to do something stupid now and see worst result later.

I don't know what is the point of this question?

2-for religious they don't accept blood and hgb is 7 what is the best repond?

3- when pt agree to start TLC and diet what initial action?

I don't know pt agreement and promise to continue or metabolic evaluation?

4- age and gender in women cause what kind of fear?

Financial ,social, lose independency. Or i do not exactly remember.

What they looking for this kind of question

Or mother of 16 years not agree for pelvic exam what is our best respond should be.

When Np evaluate people exposed to chemical what is Np document?

I think it is time of exposure and chemical cause of death

Some question like this where do you think I can study for this subjects?x

I have to say back in 2004/2005 all the nonclinical stuff was to bare minimal and now I see it is like about 40%. Did you find that to be true. I am more nervous now that I was in 2004.

It is true lot lot questions what is your respond questions? Even clinical question some how is related to ethical or cultural question to make choice of patient treatment.

Yes that is true. And yes that made me nervous. I became an Adult NP in 2004 so I don't know how much I remember from that test but this FNP exam was just so different from what I thought it would be. I can't wait to get my score in the mail so I can how I did. I would say take plenty of practice although they may not be exact I believe the practice test really play a role in the exam prep process.

Where are you getting your questions from? There aren't questions like that. I suggest the resources I previously mentioned. Definitely get the ANCC book and take the 150 question test in the back of the book. Also buy test from FamilyNPprep.com, the Leik book which has like 600 questions and of course Fitzgerald.

I passed the ANCC ACNP exam today. The exam was all over the place. But while taking it I felt like I would pass, but not by much. So glad that is over. I learned hard lesson. I will never ever let my Certification lapse again!!!!!
