Those that got two weeks probably did so if they did not already have CNA status. They probably went through the CNA training during that time...not unusual. If you already have had the CNA training, you probably don't need the entire two weeks. I'm sure it'll be a bit of a struggle at first, but I'm certain that before too long you'll be old hand at it all! :)

I had my orientation at Hickory Creek and it went great. The lady was scaring me at first cause I think she was gonna give me some real hard assignments. They will be orientating me Thursday, Friday, and Saturday but some others told me I should ask them for more time cause someone they knew of got 2 weeks. I'm hoping everything goes fine and I'll learn a routine and everything. The nursing home has 3 units and their specialty is respiratory. So in the msu they have vents, trachs, respirators, etc. They told me I'll be a floater, so I hope I can handle everything and get the hang of things since this is my first time working in a nursing home and my first real job.
