I used Kaplan Review. Very surprised when I sat for the NCLEX. Kaplan's CD/Online webpage is formatted exactly like the NCLEX. It helped decrease my nerves. My exam stopped at 75 questions, took me 40 minutes. I thought I failed. Kaplan drills you on the questions, you just keep doing questions, questions, questions. The more practice you have with the questions, the better you will do on the NCLEX. You go into the NCLEX with basic nursing knowledge BUT you use your critical thinking skills to choose the BEST answer. Breathe in, breathe out, don't cram, relax, your initial answer is usually right, just answer the question, don't think about it too much. GOOD LUCK!

How could I get in touch with you msmol? I need to know more about AHEC.

msmol

I am interested to go to AHEC for pn review. I wonder if you would recommend this place to a person who had no job experience

unlike yourself. How could I contact you? Thanks

can anybody who knows filipino review center in cerritos?pls msg me thank you.

Hi!I highly recommend AMERICA HEALTHWAYS EDUCATION CENTER (AHEC). Iam also a product of a referral and I am so happy that I went to AHEC for my NCLEX-RN review. They helped me all the way during my review. I passed my NCLEX RN exam with 75Q on my 1st attempt.

They are very accomodating and they welcome anybody either you are a new grad or long time grad, local or foreign grad, with or without previous nursing experience.

BEST of LUCK!

hi..teesia28...im looking forward to review my nclex with AHEC...can you plss tell me wHAT course did you took, the 7 days review or the unlimited they are offering for the long time gRAD?? how did their review helped you in taking the nclex? do they have high passing rate??? plss tell me more.....

HI Cessangel! Here's my reply to your questions:

can you plss tell me WHAT course did you took, the 7 days review or the unlimited they are offering for the long time gRAD??

For my NCLEX RN review, I took the unlimited program. The unlimited program is not only for long time grad, I am a new grad when I avail the program. Actually, I started with the 7 days review class, then decided to avail the unlimited program after assessing myself that I need to know more. To give you an idea regarding their review program, the 7 days include a live lecture with powerpoint presentation (which is very helpful), some video presentations & actual demonstrations, examination on the last day of the review class(a form of assessment on how much you've learned from the review) and the best part of this review is you can ask question/s if you need some clarification or additional information/s regarding the topic/s discussed in class. For the unlimited program, this include additional 3 days tutorial class in a month, more practice questions & discussion of rationale, discussion of other topics that are needed by the students plus you have a chance to sit one on one with them for final coaching prior to your examination, the final coaching is very helpful.

how did their review helped you in taking the nclex?

First and foremost, their review material is constantly updated depending on the NCLEX-RN or LVN exam trend as well as the needs of the students. In my case, its not only the materials that helped me, the encouragement ,support and his continuous assessment of my performance in class helped me build my confidence as well.

------ is 100% in helping his students to succeed but you also need to make a commitment to study well to achieve your goal. He believed that there should be a partnership and sincere commitment to achieve a goal.

do they have high passing rate???

Yes they do ( both for RN's & LVN's), I just dont have the stat or number regarding this matter.

I hope I helped you in your decision in choosing your review center. If you still have any questions, please let me know... I wish you the BEST OF LUCK!

Hi everyone!

I just passed my LVN Board Exams . My advise is that you attend the review class in Artesia. The name of it is America Healthways Education Center. I came from another country as a foreign nurse I needed help to learn the American system. The instructor does increadible work to help students to review for the NCLEX RN's and LVN's. I didn't go to any other classes, but I just followed the program they provided. It really helped me as I prepared for my exams. If you are preparing for NCLEX exams, you must go to this program.

hi msmoll, i am struggling to study for the nclex, i am taking practice tests and am failing. would you reccommend this review class over hurst and kaplan. the help would be greatly appreciated because i am feeling down sad and discouraged to study. i don't know what to do =(

hi teesia28 , did you also study with other review centers along with ahec? is the paper and pencil testing format helpful even though the nlcex is a cat? anny help would be great. i am in need of help.

Hi everyone or anyone that stumbles on this post. A great review center i recommended is America Healthways education in Artesia.

i took my test in the first week of december 2010 and found out my result in the end of the month i passed and now a proud LVN.

And its been 2 years since i graduated from school at that point and after trying other review centers and trying to study on my own. The class is great though very thorough with everything and currently updated material. Also the environment of the class is very positive. i myself took the unlimited course and was there for about 4 months before taking my test. If your look for a good place for review i highly recommend this place its truly a great place to learn everything again and refresh yourself.
