  1. Hi Pacey03, I highly recommend America Healthways Education. This is the review class that I went to and I am referred to this review center by a friend. To give you an idea, its a live, interactive NCLEX-RN review with options that you can choose, either you take their extensive 7 days review class or the unlimited class which include 3 more additional days per month (tutorial classes)until you passed. Their review material is always updated depending on the trends and needs of the students, the powerpoint presentation is very helpful esp if you are a visual type of person (like me), they evaluate your perfomance in class and readiness to take the exam, they also have some books/materials that you can borrow/read for a certain period of time and most of all they are very supportive to reach your goal. They helped me build my confidence and support me all the way. Visit their website for more information, or you can give them a call. GOOD LUCK! hope my advice will help you. Also I highly recommend LaCharity book.
  2. Hi!tamaralr, just re-type the whole link and it would work...
  3. Hi Tamaralr, here's the link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/UCLASONcaliforniaboardofregisterednursingnewgrad.
  4. I also received a mail this afternoon from BRN of California and fill it out right away. I hope they can help us. Its really hard to find a job these days as new grad. Thank you!
  5. HI Cessangel! Here's my reply to your questions: can you plss tell me WHAT course did you took, the 7 days review or the unlimited they are offering for the long time gRAD?? For my NCLEX RN review, I took the unlimited program. The unlimited program is not only for long time grad, I am a new grad when I avail the program. Actually, I started with the 7 days review class, then decided to avail the unlimited program after assessing myself that I need to know more. To give you an idea regarding their review program, the 7 days include a live lecture with powerpoint presentation (which is very helpful), some video presentations & actual demonstrations, examination on the last day of the review class(a form of assessment on how much you've learned from the review) and the best part of this review is you can ask question/s if you need some clarification or additional information/s regarding the topic/s discussed in class. For the unlimited program, this include additional 3 days tutorial class in a month, more practice questions & discussion of rationale, discussion of other topics that are needed by the students plus you have a chance to sit one on one with them for final coaching prior to your examination, the final coaching is very helpful. how did their review helped you in taking the nclex? First and foremost, their review material is constantly updated depending on the NCLEX-RN or LVN exam trend as well as the needs of the students. In my case, its not only the materials that helped me, the encouragement ,support and his continuous assessment of my performance in class helped me build my confidence as well. ------ is 100% in helping his students to succeed but you also need to make a commitment to study well to achieve your goal. He believed that there should be a partnership and sincere commitment to achieve a goal. do they have high passing rate??? Yes they do ( both for RN's & LVN's), I just dont have the stat or number regarding this matter. I hope I helped you in your decision in choosing your review center. If you still have any questions, please let me know... I wish you the BEST OF LUCK!
  6. Hi!I highly recommend AMERICA HEALTHWAYS EDUCATION CENTER (AHEC). Iam also a product of a referral and I am so happy that I went to AHEC for my NCLEX-RN review. They helped me all the way during my review. I passed my NCLEX RN exam with 75Q on my 1st attempt. They are very accomodating and they welcome anybody either you are a new grad or long time grad, local or foreign grad, with or without previous nursing experience. BEST of LUCK!
  7. Hi Nightingale Apolonia, I just wanna let you know that Fatima is not a University, its Our lady of Fatima College ( Foundation) located at Valenzuela City (towards NORTH), you can go check their website for more info, you can even view their nursing curriculum...The school near Dapitan is UST... YUP! they are accepting second courser and no age limit requirement unlike MCU they will only accept 28 years old and below, can you believe that? isnt it that an age discrimination? and most schools want you to start all over again from first year and its a waste of money and time in my opinion.
  8. Thanks for your reply! I am working on it now- looking for a school, but do you have any suggestions? I need a school either in Manila or Bulacan area...

  10. Hi! Here2care...what a relief when I got a message that somebody replied to my message, YUP! I am new in this site too! I came across this when I am about to panic since I already submitted my application for my re-entry permit, and if I need to take the local board - it will never be possible since I cant extend my stay, that made my situation different from you, you're much more lucky than I do being a US citizen, anyways, can you tell me where you are enrolled right now?and how can I get in touch with the school?I am still here in the US working part time and waiting for the response fr. USCIS. I plan to fly end of April, will that be enough time for me to prepare for everything?thanks in advance for any help you can extend to me...appreciated it very much! GOD BLESS YOU TOO!
  11. Hi!Nice to read your message,it gave me hope to push through my plans of going back to the Phil to take up nursing, anyway, my 1st course is dentistry..mukhang may pag-asa sa nursing dito sa US... I have a 7months old little boy, and he'll come with me pag-uwi ko. Hopefully I could find a school, kelan ba ang exam ng nursing?what day in June usually?dont know if I need to take exam after finishing the course though I am an immigrant, any idea?I am only allowed for 2 years to stay after that I need to go back to the US, so baka di ko makuha ang yung exam ng June, yun ang worry ko if ever I need to have a lic. to show in my application later...GOOD LUCK sa exam. try to start gathering your notes and read them if you have time that would help you refresh what you have learned from the past years and set a time table for each subjects that is included in the exam... this work for me whenever I take any board exams (US or Phil.)
  12. hi Guys! I came across this forum when I am desperately looking for some information about getting a second degree in nursing in the Phil. I told myself why not try this forum, it wont hurt right? and upon reading all your messages and replies, it gave me hope that this forum would help me sort out things in my mind. Right now, i am looking for a school that can accept a second courser like me. I am still here in the US but planning to go home this April. I can only stay in the Phil. the most is 2 years, since Iam not a US citizen yet. so do you know any school that can help me finish the course in two years? how about the phil. board exam, do you have any idea what month/s does PRC give the nursing licensure examination, I know one is in December. Do I have to take the Phil. Licensure Exam prior to taking NCLEX-RN though I am an immigrant? any help/info. from you guys will be highly appreciated. I am so anxious about this idea bec its a big gamble for me, I'll be leaving a good job and my family, too!
