Is it possible? Im nervous to choose this route, but its an option. I do not have kids or live by myself, i just have a car payment and need to make a little money working to get that paid. Any advice?
I'm in the NAU CEP Block 2, have a 3 year old, and work 36 hours per week.
I'm not going to lie to you, it is very difficult. Not only does working really cut down your study time but the nursing program has a ton of changes that happen on the fly. I have found myself having to change my work schedule multiple times already. As of right now, I start clinically is less than a month and am still not sure which day of the week they will be on. Most employers probably won't want to deal with things like this.
what would you guys do base on my situation? Start Mesa CC in january finish in may 2019 then do my RN to BSN while working at my current hospital, OR Wait until august 2017 and do CEP
There is a CEP (sorta) mid program option too. I know they talked about that at the CEP info session. Maybe someone else has some info? You just start on the BSN midway through the ADN. I don't know details (sorry - i didn't pay much attention because I was applying for the CEP). Maybe someone else knows? I know I never saw that info anywhere on the maricopa website, but they did talk about it at that session. Just another option you have of course - that way you finish the BSN a little earlier.

I think especially if you work in the medical field, it may actually help you. It solidifies the knowledge you are learning, or you have already seen some concepts used in practice. It's very possible to work and do CEP, but it's not a breeze by any means either.
