Is it possible? Im nervous to choose this route, but its an option. I do not have kids or live by myself, i just have a car payment and need to make a little money working to get that paid. Any advice?

Honestly, it's doable. Especially if your work is flexible and you don't have to work 40+ hours a week. I don't work, but I have a 6 month old (anyone who has kids knows how much of a job that can be), and I think it's very manageable. If you can effectively manage your time and prioritize your tasks, it should be very doable. Not easy, but doable.

Ditto! I don't work but have a 6 and 3 yr old. The 3 yr old is home all day with me. I have found my balance and you just have to find yours.

School staff has told us that usually what happens for those that do work can work a decent amount the first block but with each block they scale back hours more and more. They said by block 4 most aren't working anymore or very minimal hours.

I have quite a few classmates that are working full time and doing NAUs program. what I have heard from them is that it's all about their employers being flexible with their schedules. (we are in an evening program)

I guess I'm just trying to figure the best route. I won't finish UIU pre reqs until december which is why i won't get admitted into that program until august next year. But if i start just the maricopa program ill start in january...trying to figure this out! lol (:

Even though the advisors say the wait isn't long you don't know for sure. You could start the co requs for UIU and if you get placed in the program before you finish awesome just do the program and get your bsn after, but if you have to wait for more than 1 semester might as well be productive and get a head start on pre requs for your bsn :)

what would you guys do base on my situation? Start Mesa CC in january finish in may 2019 then do my RN to BSN while working at my current hospital, OR Wait until august 2017 and do CEP

Thank you so much for help! Its so hard to decide. If i don't get accepted in january i will DEFINITELY do CEP in august. Im think about just applying to both and see where i get in first.

Just in case you didn't know you have to already be in the waiting pool for the Maricopa program before you can apply for CEP. (unless something has changed since I applied last June)

Edit: I think I misread your reply disregard this message if so. It's late and I had my first exam today my brain is fried :p

Your welcome I hope I helped you. That's why I love this board you can ask all the question you have and we will try to help to the best of our knowledge. If you Facebook there is a maricopa nursing group you could join to ask question too.

Nursing is seriously my passion and thats why i took the job in the hospital. to make sure i loved it. I work with the nurses all day and they show me so many things its just amazing. (: I didn't know about that Facebook group! Thanks(:
