I lost one of my best friends today

This is a day of celebration for our nation. It is a sad day for my family. Our beautiful dog, Sophie is with her maker now. I found her 11 years ago on the side of the road, she fit right in and had been a wonderful part of our family since. I mourn her passing, and I cherish the memories. Just wanted to share with the extended family.

I am so sorry to hear that your beloved pet has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. I have a lovely golden retriever girl waiting there for me with her favourite toy in her mouth, just like she used to greet me at the back door each day when I came home.

Take comfort in the memories of your Sophie. It's rough for a while I know.

My condolence......we buried our 'four legged boy' about a month ago. I thought my heart would break! 'Timber' was a 4 1/2 y/o Retired Greyhound. The most incrediable dog I have ever owned or loved. He went quickly and suddenly..while I was at work. My daughter called me on my way home...I had to pull off the road I was crying so hard.

We have adopted 2 more Retired Greyhounds and our hearts are full again. Ginger and Okie are the love of our life....beside our 'human kids'..:chuckle

Pets are such a joy and blessing to our lives. I hope you will give hope to another stray. Just know that your Sophie is playing with my Timber and together....they will greet us again!!

We lost our sweet Rottweiler nearly 4 years ago and it still hurts. We got our Bulldog almost 3 years ago and she has so many of the same "odd" personality traits that Axel had. She's been a comfort and a constant reminder of the days we spent with him. I understand your loss and I will keep you in my prayers.

I found a kitty on the side of the road almost a year ago and kept her. She's been a great addition to this "dog" family! Foundlings are sometimes the best pets.
