Hi and welcome to the site

Most if not all people who take this exam feel like this. You have a 85% chance on passing first time so hang in there and good luck

Congratulations on taking the test. Best wishes for getting the results you are seeking.

oh my goodness! i know how you feel! i took my pn test today and i had 265 questions!!! everyone in my class had between 85 and 95. i was positive when i left that i failed but after talking to lots of people and reading stuff on this site i feel a little better. good luck with tomorrow! just keep your head up....i know its hard b/c i'm having to do the same thing. i've been a zombie since the test and now i'm just trying to think positive until i find out. i wish you the best!

You are having and eXTREMELY common reaction after taking the test! Relax!!! It took me SIX hours and 273 test questions! Imagine my horror!!! I was absolutely certain I failed. The number of questions is simply not relevant. There is a very complex algorithm as to how the test is written, and there is so much mis-information out there about it. You can actually get up on the NCLEX testing website and if you dig deep, you can read about it. Most people don't. In any event, if you have just a few questions or a few hundred questions, it doesn't mean squat (although, most of us would prefer a few!)...i.e. it doesn't mean you are smarter or dumber if you get more or less test questions!

Virtually ALL of my friends, without exception felt like they had failed the test (myself included). We ALL passed our first try.

Hang in there. The waiting is horrible! But chances are very high you passed on your first try. I felt "deep down" also I had failed. Just common nerves and anxiety. Very normal....think positive!:wink2:

Best of luck!

Well if you took the PN test the most you can get is 205 but I am sure that felt like 265. Some of my classmates had long tests also and passed. I was relieved that mine stopped at 85 because I would have struggled if I had a long test.

I totally don't understand. I am pretty sure the PN test is 85-205 questions and I thought the RN was 75 to 265. How do you get to take 273?

I may be off on the number....it was a few years ago. I do know I had the maximum number.

I think we all go through this "post nclex" anxiety. I had it really bad too. I took my test on the 19th of this month, my anxiety has gone down. It is frustrating when people tell me that I passed, when deep down in side I feel like I didn't. My test stopped around 110. That very night, I looked in the Saunders NCLEX book and I got so many wrong. We will see..it sucks for me because I am in California and it takes a month to get the results. Just hang in there..we don't live in a perfect world. If you have to take it again, just know that you will pass!

I PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D GOD IS GOOD!!!!!!:bowingpur THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!!!! I FEEL BAD NOW FOR DOUBTING MYSELF!!!!!! ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS NEVER GIVE UP!!!! TIME TO CELEBRATE THIS WEEKEND WITH THE GIRLS!!!
