I just want this so bad!!!!

Hey everyone, I just needed a place to vent how I'm feeling currently! I hope you all don't mind that! I have been waiting for a letter and each day all I think about is how bad I want to get in to my school of choice! I keep thinking about how sad I'll get if I don't get in!!! I really hope things work out for me! I know there's lots more of you out there who feel the same as me right now...and that is comforting to me to know I'm not alone! I've got midterms coming up this week in Statistics and Nutrition, and it's very hard to focus on those classes because my mind is consumed with the thoughts of getting into Nursing School!! Maybe ignorance is bliss in this situation?? I sure hope not! Good luck to everyone else out there waiting on a letter just like me! :bugeyes:

Aww man that stinks, Nursic!! I already bugged them once back in February...she told me they'd be mailed by the 1st week of March, sooo I am hoping that means soon!!! Who knows, with my luck, it'll be another month before I find out :icon_roll

I am right there with you, Friendlyghost. I am so obsessed and the wait is making me crazy! I try to remind myself that I will be in somewhere by Spring '09, no matter what, (waitlists) but I want to know if I am in somewhere for Fall '08. The only hope for that is a lottery school or the state school - neither of which alerts applicants until May. It only makes it worse that the BSN state school (which accepted me for "pre-nursing" - which I don't need!) keeps sending me bumper stickers and invitations to open houses every week! So each time I get something from the school I freak out a bit - only to open a letter with a brochure on their on-campus housing or a reminder to take care of my immunization records! Perhaps if they cut back on the bumper stickers they could make room for one more student!

When will you get word? I can imagine by the end of April I will be a wreck. I keep trying to plan things to do for fall in case I have to wait for spring.

hey!! I *should* hear something within the next week or two. My advisor at the school I applied to told me back in mid-February that they should have the applications mailed out by the 1st week of March...so I don't know if that means I will be getting it this week, or if they just now are mailing them out this week? Who knows, but I feel it now more than ever the pressure of going out to the mailbox not knowing what's inside the mailbox!!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the letter to come sometime this week....:) Good luck to you!!

wow... i think we need a psych eval. its like we got some depression going on in here. lol. i know how you feel. its 0522 right now and i cant sleep cause im thinking about the future. anyways, you guys arent alone.

I know how you guys feel, I am submitting my last application for this round for the Fall'08 and the deadline is not until mid April!

During this time I am always a walking disaster during this time of year. Trust me I have considered a therapist during this waiting period. I tend to get depressed. It is hard to try and make sense of it when you cant think about anything but that letter or packet that could be on it's way.

You have described how I am feeling currently to a "T". I am going to email one of the advisors at the school I applied to today so I can see if they've even mailed the letters out yet!! :/

You've described how I am feeling perfectly! I am actually going to email one of the advisors at the school I applied to today to see if they've even started mailing letters out...so I don't need to keep running out to the mailbox everyday ...however last month they said we should hear something this week, and I haven't yet...AHH I am being impatient! Do you think I'd be silly to email them asking when they mail letters??

I am feeling the exact same way. It is so hard not knowing where you will be or what you will be doing next year. I find myself also distracted from my classes because I spend so much time worrying.

I actually watched Patch Adams a few weeks ago and cried through out the whole thing. I related so much to the passion he had to become a a doctor and than on top of my fear of not getting in caused me to cry and cry and cry....sounds pretty lame now but I actually felt better after I watched it. I got a lot of my nervousness out of me (well some of it).

I still have until May to find out if I get in to my school of choice. When do you find out?

OMG!!!! I feel the same way as you do. I want to get into Nursing school very badly & the waiting is driving me crazy!!!! I will find out for sure in May just like you & keep your head up I am sure you will get in. I am #44 on my CC LVN wait list & the Lady in the Health Sciences department said they are anticipating accpeting 45 students this Fall 2008!!!! I hope I get in!!!! Let me know if you get in ok. I wish you the best:saint:

Don't feel bad, I have done the same thing to my Community College's Health Sciences department I have bugged them too about if I would be getting in & when will I know but the Lady there has been so very helpful & sweet she understands that I am just excited & wanting to know & I am sure you school understands too. I find out in May!!!! I am #44 on the LVN wait list & the Lady in the Health Sciences department said they are anticipating accepting 45 students this Fall 2008!!!! Let me know if you get in ok.
