I just took my nclex today..

I wasn't nervous about taking it.. the only thing running through my mind is FINALLY I will get it over with. Some where in the middle of the test, I started to think when this will all end. I ended up some where around 150-160 questions.. and shortly I realized OMG, I think I'm failing.. I had some questions that were repeating.. and at the end, a lot of priority questions.. THIS ABSOLUTELY SUCKS..

I'm not sure how I should go about this... I'm already getting prepared if I fail.. which review classes are available near my area... I had gotten high scores through out nursing school, but now I have nothing but doubt.. What should I expect? Can some one give me some pointers? Or direct me to a cliff? :o

I apologize for the over-dramaticism.. I am sort of relieved that taking the test is over an done with.. Now, I'm just worried that I might have to take it again.. it can be such a damper on self-esteem as well as the bank acct. :uhoh3:

Hang in there and wait for the results. Do something for yourself, rent a funny movie, anything to get your mind off of it breifly. Good luck.

Best of luck! Many people feel very unsure of themselves after the NCLEX. The structure of the test (both passers and failers generally get ~50%) sets us up for that. Let us know how it goes.

I felt relieved a little bit reading this forum. I just took my test yesterday & was that impatient to wait for the result. I've been checking the nursing board sites & can't find my name. This is my first time to take the test for LVN/LPN considering I was an RN-BSN graduate. I took the RN test few months ago but failed it but I was ready for the failure coz I wasn't really serious in my study. It shut off at 75. But yesterday, I was really surprised w/ my test. It was even harder than my RN test. I got a lot of "Select All that Apply" questions; pharma;psyche, prioritization, infection (precautions) & lab tests. I was so disappointed coz I focused so much on med-surg. I thought I was well prepared. I was really taking my time answering the questions, reading the question & option so many times just to conclude the best answer but it was really hard. I finished 85 questions but, w/ my experience on my RN test, I'm stressed to waiting, moreover, weekends are not counted. I was just praying so hard & still not losing hope despite my failure w/ my RN test before. I can't seem to wait to work in the health care environment. Wish me luck. Thanks!:nurse:

it sounds so much like my exam, i had a bunch of select all that apply, a lot of infection control, tons of pharm, couple on diets, proper positioning, lab values, prioritization, i finished with 85 questions (thank goodness) altho i was asking for more questions when it shut off because i felt like i didnt knew any of the answers. Waiting is the hardest part, esp. here in CA, i had to wait over 2 weeks to get my result.

Good Luck to you!!!
