I just got done ordering all my Fall Books

For first semester. I think I got chills and had a panic attack LOL, it's starting to seem more and more real, after waiting for so long, it just always seemed to surreal but now the THIS IS GOING TO HAPPEN SOON, is kicking in and I am such a ball of nerves. LOL

our bookstore went to ordering all books online... a challenge up here in the interior.... it takes forever to get the books.. still waiting on books i ordered 16 days ago..

They would have had to pick me up off the floor when they gave me that total!

My jaw dropped when the chick at the register asked me "how close I parked to the bookstore".....She actually had me back up into the loading dock because they came in 3 separate boxes.....each of them weighing at least 45lbs.....but hopefully there won't be any more books to buy for the rest of the program....Not sure though because I'm only 2 semesters into it.....the $1500 included a $300 PDA and software. And in addition to that, we have to pay for the ATI package which is like another $400.....good things nurses get paid well cuz nursing school ain't cheap....at least I'm not paying out the a$$ for tuition though....

I know how you feel. I just got 15 books in the mail yesterday (took me like 3 or 4 trips up to my room on the third floor to get them all up), and I just want to start reading them all now! lol (: Still have about 5 others to find and order.. this is getting to be very expensive!

I haven't gotten our book list yet either, but someone who went through my program a few years ago said to definitely be prepared for around $1000 the first semester for books. ...so, that $1500 price tag doesn't sound too ridiculous, especially if you had a PDA and extra stuff in the bundle.

Luckily it does sound like you just use all those books through the entire program and don't have to buy many (if any?) more later on.

You sound like me, Vida! Would you mind listing the books you have to have (just titles and authors)? I'm sure it won't be the same as ours, I'd just like to have an idea of the books required. Our college bookstore won't even give us a list until the week before school starts.

I am out of town right now and using my sons iPod touch but when I gerlt back home Monday evening I will list them for you. They just listed them on our website. Our school bookstore won't sell them until august but I got them all online.

I didn't spend that much it was under 300 and one was listed as optional. I only ordered one new and that was a ore order because the edition doesn't release until august 4th. I haven't ordered my kits yet because those we have to get at bookstore , our lab and skills kit.
