I did horrible on my medical terminology test

Published

Hi everyone,

I did really bad on my test today i got an 82%, and i ususally get high A's. The class average was a 60. I feel so bad because i donated like 30 hrs of studying time. He puts things on the exam that we didn't even cover :uhoh3:. I'm sorry i need to vent, i'm so disappointed in myself as well as the professor. Any words as to how to study better, i would greatly appreciate any advice. Thanks guys.

Look on the bright side.:) I understand that you may usually get higher grades, but you should be happy with your 82 if the average was a 60. Medical terminology can just be that way sometimes with any professor. However, 30 hours is a long time to study, that's dedication.

Thanks you so much, i feel so muuch better:). u guys r great!!!!

No to sound mean, but are you serious?

I would not say that an 82 is horrible; however I am guessing you knew that already and just wanted some one to tell that you did good. So, I will play along ... You did great, don't sweat it, your horrible grade was way above the average which means you did something right! GREAT JOB

Yeah, you did fiiiine! If the professor curves the grade, then you'll be at the top of the class.

That's not bad, trust me. I took med term w/students who failed it. Seriously. I made tons of flash cards and used a dry-erase board to write the words over and over and over again. You're doing great! Don't worry!

Since when did an 82 become bad? There have been times where I thought about hanging and 82 on the fridge!

LOL me too NGeorgia.... this is my last semester of college (but I want to go back for nursing) and I would LOVE to get out of here with B- on everything.

What you made was a very good grade! Seriously! You could be in the same boat as many other people (60's, 70's) but you're not. :) Just keep that in mind.

I do know how you feel, though. I get angry with myself if I make around that (and I've put in a lot of study time) even though I know it's a great grade to receive. I set really high goals for myself and I meet them most of the time, but when I don't... ugh. I think it just really frustrates me because I know I should be happy with what I got since other people probably would have killed for what I made and I could easily pull my grade up... sorry if that didn't make sense. :p
