:balloons: I just found out that I got into the nursing program for Oct. 2006 @ Chamberlain College of Nursing in St.Louis formerly known as Deaconess College of Nursing. I'm so excited I will finally get to make a move towards my degree and hopefully soon be an RN. My advisor said that I will get my package next week. Good Luck to all that have applied & I hope to make new friends & see new faces in St.Louis.

Future RN, Carolyn

Specializes in here and there.

congratulations!!!!!

Congrats Carolyn! I got in as well for October 2006.

LizzieJ thanks!

Girlsetsfire Congratulations:balloons: Maybe we can help each other throughout our learning experience. Hope to meet you in St. louis. Were are you from? I'm from Oklahoma. Maybe if your close we can travel together to save on the cost. Well I hope we talk later. Carolyn

Carolyn - Of course I'm always happy to help! PM me if you want and I'll give you my email so we can stay in touch for sure. I always have tons of questions and it will be good to have someone to bounce them off of who's going through the same thing. I'm from the Chicagoland area, so I'm a bit far from Oklahoma - but I'm sure we'll see each other in St. Louis.

rninme - Thanks for the shout!

Congrats Carolyn. I have applied for Chamberlain for the Oct semester too. I havent' heard anything yet, but my advisor said I would hear something soon. Good luck this semester!

Savannah0511, Thanks . I now they are still looking through all of the applications. I was told from my advisor that they just started looking through them on tuesday and she said that they will notify each applicant as they are approved. And then they have to wait for a response from each applicant and if they don't accept the fall then another gets accepted until the spot is filled. I know it took me 5 weeks and my advisor emailed me as soon as she found out. I'm sure you will get accepted! Call your advisor & see if she/he has heard anything yet. I nagged them so much by emails & by phone. Since the name change everything has been slow. But don't give up, think positive and keep looking forward no matter what. Email me anytime if you have any questions & I will try to answer them if I can.

Your Fiend,

Carolyn

Thanks, Carolyn. I emailed the advisor yesterday and she said I should hear something soon. I am worried about getting in and about finding somewhere to do my clinicals. Anyway, I am really hoping to hear something today.

Hope you hear something soon!! The clinical coordinator's name is Julie....you'll get all that info in your orientation packet. The college may already have an established clinical site in your area....if not, they will assist you in finding one.

Another thing.....St Louis got hit by that storm earlier this week.....many places have been without power. College website is back up and running...but there are some "glitches".

Any of you that are accepted into the Chamberlain program....please feel free to PM me. I am an RN to BSN student there (online). I'll help you however I can. Good luck to all of you....and welcome to Chamberlain
