I am writing this to encourage anyone who have failed the nclex. I graduated in 2005. I failed the nclex 6 times. Today I found out that I am officially a RN. This has been a long journey ,but I never gave up hope. I have prayed and cried so many days but today God smiled on me. I am a living testimony. Anyone out there struggling with the test............DO NOT GIVE UP! I purchased the Lacharity priority book and the Lippincott's Alternate - Format book. They were very beneficial to me.

I have taken the NCLEX twice and just took it for the third time and Failed again!!! I have taken the Hurst review, and Kaplan reivew, any suggestions or steps to take next????? I know my material, but when I get to the test I swear I get stuff I don't focus on as much as the main stuff..
I know exactly how you feel. Anxiety was a big problem for me. I did not do any review classes. Maybe I should have. I knew the content, but when I would take the test I would be too nervous. I would be sick to my stomach. The fear of failure was killing me. When I decided that it would not be the end of the world if I failed, I was able to relax and have a positive attitude about it. I had to give myself the mindset of thinking that I could always retest. That thought enable me to release some of the anxiety. If you have not purchased those two books, do so as soon as possible. You can do it. Everyone had given up on me, but GOD FAVORED ME AND HE WILL FAVOR YOU TOO!

Congratulations!!!! I am so happy for you. I started studying last week to take NCLEX so I can take the NCLEX again. I have failed 4 times. I have had alot going on in my life. I am so happy to know that there is hope out there. Thanks so much for posting. I was about to give up but I am going to keep going for it. I have both those books you purchased. How did you study with those books? Did you do all the questions from both books? I am so excited for you and I am sure you can't wait to start working. Again congratulations girl! You deserve it!!!!

As you shouldn't! Do you have any specifics that you think may be causing you to be unsuccessful? I studied for about 8 hours total while I was waiting for my ATT. The only thing that relaxed me enough to take the exam is very similar to 2blessed, in that after passing the CPNE with Excelsior, I would only have to pay the $200 again as opposed to $2000. That made all the difference in the world. Also, not to force religion on ANYONE, (this is just one of the things that I did when I started with EC), I bought a Bible just for my vehicle so that I could take the most important study material in the world with me to each and every exam. I passed each because I know that I didn't go into the exams or the NCLEX alone.
Try to find just one positive thing that will happen if you fail again and focus on that. For me, it was a savings of 1800 bucks!!! Do you have a circle of 'nurse' friends that you bounce things off of over the phone? I had two other friends while going through EC and we did 3-way calling all the time. What made it so special is that we never met! To this day, we maintain contact. You should try that if you have not already....take some friends with you via phone or email/text for moral support. Nursing school was the hardest part...focus on that fact.....you've done the hardest part. The NCLEX is just a mild hurdle; no big deal. Take away the power that the NCLEX concept has and put that power within. Good luck!:yeah:

NEVER GIVE UP....After six years, I had little support left. My biggest support system, which was my mom, passed away last year. I felt devastated and alone. I kept praying because I had too much invested in this. It is truly hurtful to see everyone you went to nursing school with moving on with their lives and you are stuck and can't move beyond this TEST. My pastor told me that if I "FACED IT WITHOUT FEAR GOD WITH GRACE IT". I don't know what your belief is but I really believe in GOD and I posted Bible verses in every room in my house. I constantly read my bible. I could have not did this without God's grace and mercy. My journey is not over. I still have to attend an rn refresher course before I can work as a rn, but I have finally defeated that test. If you would like I can email you other helpful material that helped me also?
Giving up is not an option. You can overcome this test. Someone stated in one of the other post that we give to much power to the test. That is so true. I had given all my power to the nclex. I was totally afraid of it. Take your power back. It is man made and it can be defeated. I just did the questions. I did not do the case studies. These books were very helpful in the SATA and priority questions. I had 92 questions. They consisted of SATA, priority and delagation, and meds. I had no math. I also have a great study guide that someone had posted on this site and it was also helpful. I can email you that if you do not have it. Just know that God gives us a spirit of a sound mind and not fear. Trust and believe even when all the odds are against you. Be blessed.
