I just started with Davita Acute's. I am not sure what state you are in but in California the pay is lower. Davita pays time and a half after 8 hours and double time after 12 hours. Most hospitals in southern California it is straight time all 12 hours and no overtime allowed. The acute program I work for there is a lot of over time. So per day pay is actually is more money.
Do you mind stating the actual rate, or private messaging this to me! Im a little concern, I have an interview setup for next week with Davita and I too have no Dialysis experience but i've been a nurse for 10 years with Med/surg/tele/home health. I thought they would take that im not a "new grad" into consideration for pay.
I'm from the Midwest with 13 years experience in tele/er/pacu/l&d/meds surge with no dialysis experience and was offered a job for 29 an hour. Still less then what I make with my hospital but I work in a speciality hospital tho. The other hospitals in the surrounding areas don't make as much as I do.

I finally got into Davita as an acute dialysis nurse after trying for over a year, but the pay is so low. I am wondering if it is worth doing it for the experience and then I can stay or move on. I have been an RN for 15 years having done med/surg/cardiac tele/OR/homecare. Is it normal for pay to be so low because of no dialysis experience? Thanks in advance for your responses!
