Do you mind stating the actual rate, or private messaging this to me! Im a little concern, I have an interview setup for next week with Davita and I too have no Dialysis experience but i've been a nurse for 10 years with Med/surg/tele/home health. I thought they would take that im not a "new grad" into consideration for pay.

Im a Med/Surg nurse with No tele experience. Im also 28yrs old AA, and i just finished my first travel assignment. It was for 13 weeks. I think 2 years is enough experience to start. I had 5 yrs before i started. I found that nursing is nursing, no matter where you go. I felt very good about the nursing part, that was the same, policies will be different and certain procedures may go about differently. But nothing that a strong nursing foundation cant over come. The staff was willing to help and answer questions. You just have to have an open mind to change and dont be afraid to ask a question. Dont go to a facility putting down on how they do things, just adapt and go with the flow. I have not found it hard to get any assignments and i actually got my next assignment a month before my contract had ended. Which from what i understand is typical. I had a 1 day HR orientation to policy and their computer charting system. And then a 2 day floor orientation. Then i was on my own. And i felt that to be plenty enough of orientation.

Hello, I actually work and am currently on an assignment with Nurse Choice, my recruiter is awesome, they usually offer 48 hour contracts but your hours are guaranteed and the housing through the company is usually an extended stay hotel as 1st choice and then an apartment if required, but you can always take your stipend and find your own housing. I have worked at great hospital's so far "knock on wood" I'd be happy to answer any questions that you may have!!

Hi, Im licensed in Louisiana also. And it all depends on the state on how long they take, the time varies all the time. Since Louisiana is not a compact state, what i did was applied for my nurse license in the states that i researched, whom took the longest to issue a license, had the most frequent travel jobs available, who are know for better pay rates, and places i wanted to travel in general.

Im a New Traveler and just curious in regards to how many Nursing Licenses do you have? What do you think are the top 5 states to have a license in? How do you keep up with your licenses and do you let them expire? I live in a non-compact state, so any tips or insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hello Im new to travel nursing and im interested in Nurse Choice due to there short term contracts. Im married and my husband wont be traveling with me, so the shorter contracts is appealing to me. Just wanted to get some first hand inside info from Travel nurses who have worked or currently working with Nurse Choice. Any info would be great, there isn't alot of info on these forums about Nurse Choice. What did you think about the company? Where they able to keep you working? Was the pay as promised? How was the housing? Thanks so much!!!
