Good morning- Yaaay for Friday. I am just sure that I could hear you all snickering, shaking your heads, and giving the repeated ones of these--:sarcastic:

-- All while I was just on the phone with a parent/nurse as I was explaining over and over why I won't be sending home any "lice letters" when there is a case of head lice in her little ray of sunshine's classroom. She tried really really really hard to convince me. But, to no avail. :) I sent her on her way, happily skipping down the trail and I directed her to Dr. Pollack's site: www.identify.us.com . That would all be nice, but I am pretty sure she is calling all the other parents, "who she had talked to", before she called me, to share their "expertise" with each other.
Mmmmmkay- Happy Friday Friends
At least you know the Principal will back you!
Heehee...do you think they could include fuzz, glitter and general hints of light on the identification list of that website, Far?
I had a K5 teacher bring a student to me this morning. This sweet little girl had a giant birds nest of a knot in the back of her hair and teacher says, "she's had this knot in her hair all week. And, I think I may have seen something, too."
So, I sit down and comb out this sweet girl's crazy knot out of the back of her head and find one piece of white fuzz and tons of beautiful, golden highlights.
Paranoid, wide-eyed teacher comes back with so much fear on her face it's palpable...I almost wanted to play with her a bit.
I love my job.

Oh my goodness. We are so (fun) evil.
Thanks to you all for listening. I knew you would understand how much "fun" that was for me. :)
I tried that - the parents called the Superintendent, the BOE and the Department of Health demanding to know about the lice. Seriously??? Of course they all wanted to know AFTER they all posted on social media. Uhm, why do I need to waste trees to let you all know when you all know more than me about what is going on in the town!!??
One of my OCD things is FUZZ in hair lol. The other day while at the grocery store my own teenager had fuzz in his hair. He was being a stinker and wouldn't let me get it out of his hair. *This fuzz was the size of a dust bunny mind you* So finally I waited until his hands were loaded with groceries and I sneak attacked him and got the fuzz! Then of course the little one had to follow suit and make sure I saw fuzz in his hair.
