Unfortunatly, I don't have a CNA certification. I was wondering If I could still get my certification just so I can work. I'm thinking my only other option is to get a regular job until I can pass the test. Even then I still have to worry about the fact that I'm preggo and it's going to be hard to find a job going on interviews with a pregnant belly. This is just not what I thought post graduation life was going to be like. I know it's not the end of the world, but it is very dissappointing.

Please don't be discouraged!! This might vary from state to state, but here in MN as long as you have completed a year of clinicals from Nursing school, employers can use that in lieu of a Nursing Assistant certificate! I was able to work as a Nursing Assistant/Resident Assistant in a Assisted-Living facility after my Junior year in college. It might be different for the state you live in, but it's worth a shot looking into it right? BTW, CONGRATULATIONS on the pregnancy!!

I am hoping I can work as a CNA as well. I am in Florida now, but I graduated in Maryland and I know in MD you have to finish you first semester and you don't even have to take the test for CNA certification. It was just a matter of paying for the certification and getting the nursing chair to sign off on the application for you. Problem is I have absolutely no money now and I have just about tapped out all of my resources (family). I just hate to keep having to ask for help! I will look into how it works in Florida though. Maybe I wont have to do all that.
As for the pregnancy, it really is a blessing since I was told years ago that I would need fertility treatment to get preggo since I have PCOS. I guess they were wrong cause I was not on any meds or anything and it just happened. We are very excited, but worried since we are both not in a good financial situation at the moment. I guess it will all work itself out though. I'm just tryingto hang in there:uhoh3:.

So, I just found out that I failed NCLEX. I had 265 questions and sat there for 5 hours only to fail
I feel discouraged, but I am trying not to let it get the best of me. Does anyone know what kind of job I can get while i'm waiting to retake it? I am totally broke and in serious need of a job. Should I look for a job in healthcare, or just start looking at random stuff like retail or something? I also found out 2 weeks ago that I am 8 weeks pregnant. Timing is really bad, but not much I can do about it now other than get a freaking job. Any advice would be appreciated! I'm truly at a loss and I don't know what to do anymore
