I took College Algebra almost 3 years ago and I failed the class, Iam going to retake it this summer. Will that F make it hard for me to get accepted to a nursing program?

I am currently taking a Biology course that I failed 3 years ago... according to my schools handbook if a student retakes a class, the higer grade will prevail and the lower grade is dropped from the student's GPA. I would check with your school and see if they follow the same procedure. I hope this helps and good luck!

Hi mariposabella,
Just like what ylwbtrfly mentioned above, some school offers a grade forgiveness - meaning only the passing/higher grade will show in your transcript.
Check with your school and see if this option is available.

Some schools will only look at the grades you got on your prereq's, some will look at all. Find the handbook your school follows. Good luck!
