I can't even believe that this recall even made the news....

Is it just me or does no one see the safety problem with the product, but instead, stupidity of the parents???

Parents have been told for YEARS not to put cribs, etc near blinds and if you have blinds in a bedroom, you should keep them either raised or the cords lifted out of reach. This is on the warning label of every blind I have ever purchased.

Now they are blaming the blind companies for strangulation deaths d/t cords on bliinds (Duh!!!!) instead of the parents that didn't make sure they were safe.

The next time you see a recall, it will probably be kitchen ovens, because...you know, those things get really hot and they burn children if they get too close to them when turned on.

any one else remember the case were the guy sued the maker of the wooden step ladder, when he put it on a pile of frozen horse sh.., and when it melted he fell and hurt himself? he won, by the way....

He won because the plaintiff attorneys look for the dumbest people on the jury pool to hear the case. They identify naturally with stupid people and so vote to reward their stupidity, hoping they can be next.

i used to buy life size various bright colored cat toy mice that we liked because they were too big for the dog to eat but vividly enough colored that they didn't look real from the other side of the room. they were lightly stuffed, easy for a kitten to carry, and fun for a grown up cat to toss in the air. they were sized just like a real mouse. walmart no longer carries them. someone's toddler ate two of them and became ill. they no longer carry them because it might happen again.

i buy a brand of snack bar that comes with an admonishment (printed on the wrapper) not to ingest said wrapper. darn! i wanted that extra bit of fiber!

my dollar store bottle of acetaminophen reminds me not to take all of them at one time but says nothing about resulting liver damage.

we feed our chubby shar pei rx treats that are high fiber, tartar control and low calorie and and the bag gives a guide about how many to feed per day based on the dog's weight, then goes on to say not to feed them to cats. the "don't feed to cats" part is unnecessary, unless you have a pet lion or tiger because they're so big and so hard.

When my children were babies I had one of those carriers that you wore over your shoulders and the baby hung in a pack on the front of you. It was called Sarah's Ride Carrier. This item had a tag sewed to it that read "do not use over open flame". Ok...so was someone dumb enough to have tried that for a warning to have been attached? And if they were that dumb, what makes the manufacturer so sure that they can read the warning tag?

If there is a label, someone tried it. LOL*:p
