Hi everybody.
I am a new grad and I live in Rochester, NY. I have been offered a job in Nursing home in NM. I am confused is it ok to move for the Nursing home job? I have been applied to several places, it's hard to get the job. Is Nursing home job considered good job experience or not? Confused, Confused, Confused, should take it or let it go?
Thanks for listening!!!

I don't understand why you are confused? How long have you been a new grad? How long have you been applying to places? I know some new grads states they have been applying to jobs for six months or more. They have stated "it is hard to get a job." To be honest with you, I would take the nursing home job because I know my living expenses. If no other monetaries coming in, I know I have to work somewhere. You can take the job and continue to apply and wait to see what comes. You can take from there. Overall, some experience is better than no experience at all. Good luck to you.

Yeah, I wouldn't move to another state for an LTC/Nursing home. No offense to the LTC Nurses out there, but I just don't think it's worth it. As a new grad. who worked in a LTCF briefly, I wouldn't recommend it to you. I just don't think LTC is the ideal place for a new grad.
However, if you're dead broke and feel like you absolutely cannot afford to not have this job and you feel like you have done all you can to get a job where you are now, then I guess you should go for it.

also check out Crouse Hospital in Syracuse. They hire new grads, even in specialties like Tele, ICU, and NICU. :)

PP's have offered excellent advice & assistance - I totally agree.
Note to OP - I can't imagine an area that would be more different (geography, culture, etc) than your current home... the change could be very difficult, especially if you will not have family &/or a support system with you.
