You know how people say things happen for a reason? Well they really do! I have had such a long and hard journey to land my first new grad RN position! and guess where? The NICU! That's right the NICU...when I received the phone call that I had been selected for this position my hands were shaking so hard and I think I might of had a dysrythmia from the overwhelming excitement:D ... Anywho i wanted to share this with everyone because it was not an easy road getting here...I graduated in August (and unemployed for 4 months) with my BSN and have gone on a total of 4 in person interviews (I had even considered moving) ...I have no previous healthcare experience and so that in itself made it really difficult for me to compete against the overly saturated amounts of new graduates in my area (Texas Medical Center in Houston)...and now that I think of it Im glad that things turned out the way they did because this is my dream job! So to all the new grads out there still looking for a job...there is definetly hope
