I485 approved. Green card in the mail

congrats :smiley_aa I am so happy for you..as for my case, I got a letter asking for evidence probably nursing license too..did u sent photocopies of evidence with the letter from Uscis? do they respond when they receive the evidences? pls pray that i will get an approval soon also. keep me posted

Thanks Suzanne. Your advise helped a lot. Remember you advised me to apply for VSC immediately after finish nursing school. That really helped. You are a blessing to us all and we pray God replenish you in wonderful ways.

Pink..... I sent the photocopy ( or I should say my lawyer did), and they acknowledged it on their uscis website. You are going to get yours in like 2 weeks or less from now after they receive the documents asked for. Good luck to you and let me know if I can answer any question,

Hey,
Just got my I485 approved yesterday and the green card has been mailed to me.
Timeline :
Application for I140, I131 and I485 application received on the 27th of April, 2006.
I140 approved - May 20th, 2006.
I131 approved - May31st, 2006.
I485 - mail sent to me for more documents - Nursing License and VSC - June
7th, 2006.
I485 - documents received June 24th, 2006
I485 approved - June 28th. Card sent same day.
Thank you allf or your prayers. The application was really fast ( 2 months). I think it makes a big difference if the lawyer you use knows what he/she is doing. Also, Texas S C is really fast.

Its true that lawyer has very important role in expediting the whole process but it also depends on the Service center. Mine was vermont, they write in the website site that they received the response to request for evidence on May 13th 2006. No decision yet. I read somewhere that if its been more that 60 days after we send the response and did not received a decision we can call the customer service center. I am thinking about that. Hope things work for me too.

Thanks for that info. Im really happy for you...I have to wait for my mail though to sent out the documents that I need. Hope they would acknowledge it as soon as they receive it..thanks for the hope that 2wks or less, the green card would be in my hand. Congrats again and hoping that you would still respond/post replies in this forum.
