I have an appointment with student financial aid.I am applying for a loan.I have bad credit, should I tell the lady that is reviewing my loan application this?
I want to transfer my credit debt to student loan, so that i don't have to pay any of it until I graduate.
How should I proceed with this? What will qualify me for 10,000 dollar loan? What should I do? :zzzzz

you sound like me 2 years ago! i got a co-signer. if they (co-signer) have good credit and a reasonable income, you'll be good to go! and yes, tell the financial advisor your situation so that he/she may suggest all possibilities for help. just make sure you educate yourself on student loans and all of what rules they carry before relying on them to cover your debt for awhile. for instance, student loans can not be wiped out when going bankrupt. try to only take out absolutely what you need. it may save some headaches down the road!
much luck to you!!!!!:heartbeat:heartbeat

Federal student loans aren’t credit based. All you need to do is fill out fafsa. If you need a private loan those are credit based and as isabellasmommy says if you don’t qualify on your own then you’ll need a cosigner with good credit. But talk to your counselor about options and read all the materials so that you know the differences between different loan products and what the terms are. Some credit unions also offer student loans so you might want to look into some of those as well. GL.

Work.
Credit is almost frozen for people with bad credit scores.

As someone said earlier, file the FAFSA. Federal aid is NOT based on credit. That includes Stafford loans and Perkins loans for grad students.
