i am currently a student at ccbc essex, md. right now i am failing my BIO 110 class and we have just one exam left which is coming up on tuesday. i was hoping i would scale through with a C, but right now i dont think that is possible. i am so depressed and dont know what to do. i have never even had a C in any of my classes, now am here hoping and praying for a C. so my question is, did anyone ever fail a class (F,D OR E), and after retaking the class and passing, got into the Nursing programme? i hear it is really competitive and if you ever failed a class your chances of getting in is over. if i eventually fail this class, what more options do i have considering i really want to study nursing?

I remember being a pre-nursing student and failing a statistics class. I took it again and had an A. I was able to apply to nursing program and both schools accepted me. My advice to you is to do your best to get a C and if you fail to try again.

Do the programs out there allow you to retake a class without penalizing you? If so, failing and retaking the class and getting an A would be a better option than getting a C. That's what everyone who is trying to get into the nursing programs in my area do. Having a C in a science class would make it very difficult to be accepted into a program, they just retake it and replace their D or F with an A!
