Hello. I see a lot of posts about plan but not so much about Hurst scores and being ready for nclex.
My qbank scores 78,82, 84,90,88/125 not percent.
I am wondering if anyone else has had similar scores and if so did you pass the nclex. My exam is very very soon and I'm just not sure if I can retain anything further. I feel like the more I study the more I forget.
This is the thing there are people who take Hurst & fail & people who use Kaplan & fail. It is not the Review course's fault. It falls on the candidate. What most have to understand is NCLEX is not an exam that looks for how much fact base knowledge you have, but they look for how much critical thinking you have to answer analysis questions in a safe manner. I feel for those who are looking for direction on which way to study, but there is no secret or exact way. Every student is different & have different needs. Some need the content, some need the strategies on how answer questions, some need help in how to control their anxiety.

Everybody I talk to says kaplan is best for questions. I took both hurst and kaplan and loved hurst for content, but kaplan for questions. If you have an iPhone you can download kaplans mini q bank for free, I'm pretty sure. Hurst is great though, as long as you review your main "NCLEX rules" they stress you will be fine!! Your hurst scores are really good tho. They say its not a predictor, but then say "statically" there students that scored an 84/125 are most likely to pass. Hope this helps!! Good luck, you'll do fine!
I have just recently learned from a friend ( in New Jersey) that NCLEX is changing, the questions will be harder and they will be in different formats. My teacher has confirmed this is TRUE! Well has anyone received from their school examples or ideas from the Board of Nursing examples or how the exam will most likely look like? I'm currently studying for my 2nd attempt I'm using Kaplan 2013-2014, Kaplan 2014-1015, Exam Cram-PN 3rd Edition, Saunder's CD my school gave us. Does anyone have advice???

The NCLEX changes/ is updated every 3 years. The NCLEX RN was updated April 2013. They may change the passing standard like they did last time. There is usually an explanation of the changes on the NCSBN website
You can find the current and upcoming NCLEX-PN test plans as well as FAQ regarding the changes right on the NCSBN website, it's not a secret. NCLEX-PN was last changed in April 2011.

I only took hurst review, and only did 3 of the test, my results were 99/88/85. I also did the pda book. Hurst was great for a quick review of content, I think it depends on what you feel you are weak on.
