Hurst review

Has anyone just studied for the NCLEX using Hurst review alone? If not, what else did you use to help? Thanks in advance.

Marlene Hurst's book says to use use two sources, not simply Hurst. I did the Hurst live review and read Lacharity's delegation book. It was probably overkill, but I felt very well prepared.

Thanks for the info. Does La Charity's have Q&A and if so, are they really complicated scenarios that make you think?

Lacharity is page after page of multiple choice questions. You might be given five patients with different dx and vital signs, for example, and asked to prioritize them. Or you might be asked to decide which tasks can be delegated to unlicensed personnel and which to LPNs. Yes, the scenarios can be complicated. I think most people who post on this board after using it have found it invaluable.

I did the Hurst live review before my final semester, then I paid $50 for 30-day access to the online videos after graduation. But you can go to as many live reviews as you want for free. I attribute my passing the NCLEX to Hurst review.

I had Saunders already, but I thought that the questions were too easy. I started doing questions from NCLEX 3500 and those were great. I also used the LaCharity book, which was invaluable. I definitely recommend it. Don't forget to study infection control and which isolation to use, those are huge parts of the exam. Good Luck!

Did the online 30 days hurst review help? What does it help you with?

hurst review helps you understand content in a very easy way, there has the video online, she will make you laugh, make you relax, and make you feel very comfortable. You will like it and you will pass the exam with these knowledge.

Thanks. I'm going to look into this then. I've been doing 100 questions everyday from nclex 3000 cd and before i take my exam next month, i also want to brush up on my contents. This sounds like a good plan so I will take this review also.

This is $50 for 30 days?

It's only $50 if you have taken a live review with them before. They call it a supplemental review. Sorry for the confusion.

Oh, I haven't taken the live review before cuz it's like $350. I can't afford it. So I can't take this $50 review?

if this is your first time to take hurst review, it will cost your 300-350 depend on your choice. it's for 3 month

after 3 month, if you still need to watch the video and hear her voice, you need to pay another 50 for a month, and 50/month everyafter as you need.
