Nursing Students NCLEX

i took the hurst review a couple of weeks ago and will be taking the nclex in a couple of weeks and was wondering if anyone took this and if they thought it was helpful for the nclex? i'm wondering if i should only use this material or use others. i'm getting sooo nervous :uhoh21: and don't know exactly how or what to study.

any and all advice on how to study and what to expect would be fantastic! thanks in advance.

i took hurst review in december and also took my test and failed (and I studied it). they gave me my money back which was good. i thought it was a good review, but dont rely on it heavily.

Just make sure that you study the proper way. Reveiw and repeat the core content. As the instructor probably told you - you should be able to lecture on the core content and understand WHY things work/happen they way they do. If you have access to the online review definately listen to the lectures again -there will be stuff that you didn't pick up on the first time. Go over the information in the 5th day CD and do all the practice questions, esp go over the emergency care with prioritizing the pts. Do the mock nclex and view the mock nclex review on the 5th day CD - they go over why each answer is either correct or wrong - this helps SO much because it helps you to know how to answer the questions! The Hurst Review is definately money well spent. I found it to be very helpful while I was taking my boards - it was definately prepared me for the types of questions that are on the boards!

Good Luck!

I know this is an older thread, I still wanted to add to it though. I finished from my RN program 6 months ago, and my application with the BON was held up and misplaced, it was a bummer to say the least. I took a Hurst live review the week after graduation and planned on taking Boards a couple weeks later but things happen unfortunately. Paperwork was all fixed and squared away, signed up for the Hurst supplemental online review and studied for a month. Took Boards on Tues and found out yesterday I passed with 75 questions. I am a big time supporter of the Hurst review. If your studying for NCLEX get the HURST now.
