Hi All,
Just graduated from my LVN program, uh, about 12 minutes ago. lol.
Already fixating on the upcoming invitation from the Board, much in the same way I fixated on the exiting ATI!
Lordy, Lordy...if I had only known how much stress these two exam would bring down upon my head, I would have opted for beautician's school instead!
From a veteran LPN's point of view, is the Hurst review a good bet, or should I just purchase the latest Saunders, pair it off with an nclex-pn question and answer study guide, and hope for the best?
What worked well for you? I have heard SO many different stories...

Congrats:yeah: I just graduated December 08, and was TERRIFIED to take my exam just took it 4/3/09 and passed the 1st time with the minimum questions. Th ONLY book I used was Saunders 3rd edition. I actually bought the book about 1-2 months before graduation, and would do a couple of questions here and there. We were told after graduation to do 100 questions a day but I honestly didn't always get to do that many I mainly used the CD that came with the book. Good luck!

Congratulations on graduation!!
I graduated March 9 and sat for the test March 27. I used the Saunders 3rd edition. I only used the CD. I liked it because it had several different types of studying. You could do 10 question quizzes or 100 question tests. I am not familiar with Hurst-PN. However, I can tell you that Saunders is written just like the test, at least for me. The NCLEX may not necessarily be all multiple choice questions, which I was unaware of until studying Saunders.
Which ever study guide you choose, good luck to you. My advice, don't wait. Take the test as soon as you can. Not just to keep the information fresh in your head, but also for your nerves. I have several friends who haven't taken it yet and they are a bundle of nerves!!
Good luck to you!!
