Hurst online review anyone???

Published

Currently studying for the NCLEX and I just purchased Hurst online review. Has anyone on here used it and felt it was a good help to pass the NCLEX?? Also how long did it take to finish the whole review and do the practice questions( I have about 3 weeks ahead of me before the exam). If you used Hurst did you use any other materials with it (i.e PDA LaCharity or Saunders)??

I took the Hurst Review in person, which is presented by someone on days one through three, then the remainder of the book is completed at home while watching the videos. Let me just say... I LOVE Hurst Review. Focusing on the core content, rather than a million practice questions really helped me. I graduated May 16th studied as much as I could for about a month, took the NCLEX-RN June 24th and passed in 75 questions. I truly feel that the Hurst program helped me succeed!

Did you use Hurst exclusively or did you use other resources with it? How difficult did you find their Qreview in comparison to NCLEX

I used hurst the first time and failed with it ... I'm now doing kaplan but I think it just depends on what u need content or strategy.... After sitting for boards I did realize that kaplan questions are sooooo like nclex...

Hurst questions are way to easy.... But don't let my opinion refrain from giving hurst all you got here are many who have passed with it too. Good luck !

Was just thinking of hurst review today. It was a great component in my NCLEX preparation. The lady is very very detailed and I would actually review it even now that I've been an RN for several years. Highly recommend!

hi what is PDA?

Thank you I am new to this site and wanted to make sure that I am getting the full understanding of what I am reading...I am preparing for my boards with Hurst and the newest Sanders, I don't want to buy anything else but it looks like I will have to purchase LA charity and NCSBN my money is low and I graduated in Dec 2013 I am a LPN and did great on PN-nclex with the minimum needed but had to take HESI three times and a lot of my class mates was not successful the first time and I think this has made me apprehensive and I have not had no time to study just like Blahhhhhh!

I am now studying more than I have in the past, I don't have a test date yet because I want to study at least know half the Hurst book first and I really don't have the 200.00. I am getting sleepy during study times or it seems as if I am not absorbing the information I pray a lot I need this info to sink in.

Same here (studying for NCLEX I mean). I'm also using Hurst online review, saunders, and PDA. My NCSBN subscription is ending this week so I'm in a hurry to answer the remaining practice questions. I'm also stressing a lot but prayer helps me a lot, so I will def add you to my prayer list, I think it's a great thing to pray for each other as we study and prepare for NCLEX. God is able, don't let your anxiety get in the way of your studying (it happened to me a lot during these past few weeks). Focus and have faith!!! :)

I used it exclusively, besides practice questions from textbooks. I did better on the NCLEX than the Q-Review, but still found their questions very helpful!

Thanks. Taking the exam soon hopefully I have time to go over the whole review a few times and PASS!!! :)

Best of luck!! I didn't do the review as much as I originally wanted to, but I don't think I would have ever gotten to a point where I was "done" studying. :)

Thanks!!! I'm getting overwhelmed!!! I've been going over the videos and looking at Saunders and realized Hurst doesn't really cover everything so I'm in panic mode!!lol I think my brain needs a break!
