Hurst online review anyone???

Published

Currently studying for the NCLEX and I just purchased Hurst online review. Has anyone on here used it and felt it was a good help to pass the NCLEX?? Also how long did it take to finish the whole review and do the practice questions( I have about 3 weeks ahead of me before the exam). If you used Hurst did you use any other materials with it (i.e PDA LaCharity or Saunders)??

I felt that same pressure, everyone in my class has passed that had taken boards prior to the 23rd so I didn't want to be the one to drop the percent level below 100%, I had a green machine naked drink and a kind antioxidant bar the morning of because I knew I couldn't take much in my stomach because I was very anxious but needed something for energy. I stayed focused on the questions one by one until that screen went blue at 75 , you 'll be just fine Ms. RN

That's exactly how i feel!!! all of my classmates who tested already passed (as far as i know)!! i don't wanna be the only one failing!! Some sat for the exam right after graduation...i was too tired and overwhelmed I needed a break so I didn't start studying anything until the beginning of June and that's when I went into severe anxiety!!!It got so bad i couldn't focus to study. I'm so glad I came back to this forum to read all the success stories and believe i could do it too!!!

When are you scheduled? Be sure to know your labs

July 29th!! Exactly 4 wks from now. I was thinking I would review labs about 2weeks before and then the day before

Initially I was scheduled for the 23rd but I felt I'd need more time to go over some content and practice questions

Ok just stick to a review plan, you already know the concept , to me it's learning how to take the exam you can do it .Try to find out the BON for you State automatic hotline for licensure verification it' updated before any of the resources, I got my results 0930 the next day I'm in Virginia.

I did Hurst Live Review In December but had access to the online courses for 30 days whenever I wanted to activate them. I activated the online course about a month before I took NCLEX and only watched the videos once. I believe the videos are excellent but it is really up to you to memorize and grasp the content. I also utilized PDA by LaCharity and I believe that is what helped me pass with 75 questions. To be honest I think I studied hard core for maybe a week (not recommended), but because I did a combination of practice questions and content review I believe that is what helped me the most considering I was an average nursing student. You can do this! I also believe that nerves on the day of the test is what gets most people. I didnt open a single book the day before and instead watched my favorite shows on Netflix! Best of luck, and just remember you spent 2+ years studying this content anyways! :)

Thank you all!! I'll make sure to follow your advice. @ebowie I'm in Florida I think it took my classmates about 48hrs to see their name on the BON website. @newRN_2014 I'll make sure to follow ur advice:)

It takes 48 hrs here to but the automatic licensure verification is within 24 hrs you just have to put your ssn# and will let you know if you have an RN license

Ok cool!!! Hopefully in a few weeks!!! Lord knows how much I can't wait to see RN next to my name!!!:)

I praying for you Ms. RN

Thank you so much @ebowie!!!

God bless you!!:)
