Currently studying for the NCLEX and I just purchased Hurst online review. Has anyone on here used it and felt it was a good help to pass the NCLEX?? Also how long did it take to finish the whole review and do the practice questions( I have about 3 weeks ahead of me before the exam). If you used Hurst did you use any other materials with it (i.e PDA LaCharity or Saunders)??
I reviewed about 4 wks and did approx 2500, 100 questions a day was May goal but I found myself doing 50 questions same times, be sure to read all the rational and take notes on your weak areas from the questions. I didn't feel ready but stayed positive telling myself you can do this, prayed a lot too.
RN2b think of a calm place when you become nervous it helps , the worst thing that could happen is you would have to retake it's only a test which isn't life threatening, you will be just fine. Trust me I had to fight for my life with CA and if I can do it you can I really have a chemo brain
I found ATI questions were harder, PDA very similar to actual boards and Saunders helped get me out of pickles when I was unsure of answers. Remember the answer is right in front of you always go with your first choice and when you don't know go with ABC, Maslow and process of elimination. Usually if you how opposite interventions in a questions the answer is usually one of those , if you have things saying the same thing throw them out first etc.... Whatever works for you
Don't feel bad it's normal to have some level of stress, everyone who's preparing has some type of anxiety about the exam some more than others . It's a huge deal for all of us you already got through the hard part an that was completing the nursing program now it's time to take on the challenges that come with being a nurse. God didn't bring you this far to leave you as written he will not leave nor forsake you . Stay positive and claim your Victory Ms. RN
:) :) :) Yes!!!God always finishes what He starts, and always remains faithful even when we're not!!! You're so right...thank you so much!!! Everyone has so much faith in me and believe I will pass this exam no problem but somehow someway I always find myself thinking about "what if i don't!". I think i need to kick myself in the back and start thinking positively. Thank you!!
