Hi,

Welcome NC! I currently reside in Davidson NC which is about 5 miles north of Huntersville. There is a new hospital in Huntersville--Presbyterian Hospital Huntersville is part of Novant Health. Also there is a nursing home--Huntersville Oaks--which is part of Carolinas Healthcare System. I am not sure what the pay will be, but I am sure it will be competitive! Also in Concord NC is a hospital Northeast Medical and its a magnet hospital. It's about 20 minutes away. There are a lot of homecare agencies here, I am not sure where to begin with that. And of course Charlotte is close by and you will find tons there too! When you are searching, look for agencies/hospitals in the University area of Charlotte. That is the area near Northlake Mall (exit 18), and its only an exit or two away from Huntersville. There is a homecare agency there called Homewatch. That is the only one I can think right off. Do you know which exit you are off of 23, or 25?? I think you will enjoy Huntersville a lot! Let me know if you need anymore help!

Welcome!! I live close to Huntersville and LOVE it. I would not want to work at any other hospital than NorthEast!!!! It is WONDERFUL!!!! I have worked in the other 2 BIG hospitals in the area, and found them to not even come close to NEMC. I guess it depends on what you are looking for. NEMC is a magnet hospital, but I like it because the entire hospital prides itself in the care they give their pts. Everyone is a big team and you almost never have to ask for help. The hospital was voted one of the best 100 places to work a few years back, and I have to say it is due to they way they treat their employees-incentives etc... I am a realist and know no place is perfect but if one were to be NEMC would be in the running! Good Luck and I hope you check it out!
