Has anyone graduated from Hunter College with a degree in nursing? I am currently a senior in high school and I was recently admitted into Hunters Nursing Honors Scholar Program, which means I would start my nursing courses as a freshman. I would not have to apply into the nursing program because I am technically already in it. What I want to know is if Hunters Nursing Program is any good? Am I better off going to Molloy?

Welcome. I moved to New York Nursing forum which has much info on NY nursing schools and best chance of members seeing your query and replying.

I graduated from hunter college and I thought it was pretty good. I mean sure just like any other program it does have its flaws but I can't complain. Plus when I tell ppls I went to hunter Ifor nursing always get "Wow you must be really smart!" Or "Wow that's a great school!" I like to think I'm an average student to put that into perspective so they must be doing something right. And that's just the most common responses from healthcare people to non-healthcare people to even other nursing school students and grads so idk its not too bad. Hope that helps somewhat!

Kudos to you Hunter College Nursing Program only admit the cream of the crop. It is the " Ivy League" nursing college in NY State.

Are you sure of the above? I thought that as part of the Generic Nursing Program, ALL students start their Nursing Courses in the second (Sophomore) Year? Are you saying that as a Hunters Nursing Honors Scholar Program participant some how circumvent this requirement?

Hi, I just wanted to ask if you remember what the essays and supplements are about for the Hunter scholars program? If you're comfortable with it, do you mind sharing what you wrote? I'd like to start writing them now before I apply to Hunter, and I won't know the prompts until after I apply.
