Hi all!
Just wanted to pop on here and see if anyone else has been accepted to Humbers RPN course! :)
If so, are we allocated a block classes or is there a series of block classes we can select?

30 questions on Biology (some bone questions, what attaches bone to bone, ATP etc.)
30 questions on Chemistry (grade 9 stuff - what is a solution etc.) NO MATH ON CHEMISTRY.
41 questions on Math (adding, subtracting, long division, conversions, decimal points)
Written essay; this consisted of writing 300-600 word multi-paragraph. They give you a topic and you just state your opinion with examples.
With regards to what you should know, that all depends on you - what is your weakest out of those? The biology was common sense, chemistry was a bit tougher but math is my weakness, so I focused on that. I've also been out of high school for almost 10 years and I still found it decently easy.
Hey,
I honestly haven't been in high school in 8 years and even then I took essential level math and science so I never learned these things. My whole post secondary experience after that included no science or math so I had no background knowledge. I started a Pre health program this January and going into the test that is the only knowledge I know so for chemistry really basic like radiation, balancing reactions, mole ratios, stoichometry, naming compounds, isotopes, different types of bonding stuff like that Bio would be stuff like about cell structure,DNA, lipids, nucleic acid, carbs, proteins, mitosis/meosis, genetics, enzymes and that's it. Math everything you mentioned I've done this semester so I feel confident there.

I’m the same as you. Highschool I only took college - no university. My post secondary education doesn’t touch on any type of chemistry or biology either. You have the upper hand here with the pre health. Honestly, on the test I thought I bombed chemistry - however, I still received admissions.
I wouldn’t stress too much - read over the chemistry in the link I provided. That’s how I prepared for the test.

pla what do you think of humbers rpn program vs Sheridan. Which do you think is better
From what I’ve heard Sheridan’s program isn’t that great. I just haven’t heard the pros and cons of why that is the case. However, I have heard Humber’s program is good. Apparently, good faculty and simulation labs as well as good placements.
Hi @redheadednurse13 I did my entrance exam this morning.. it went pretty well. The only bad side was when the internet connection started to act up. So I was unable to finish the biology which gave me a low score but for the others I did well. I hope I get an offer tho. I hope the biology won’t mess me up ?

@Oyin12 @Prehealth2Rpn2Bscn no need to buy the book - it's online as a PDF.
