Huge accomplishment for me..

I got an A on my second Microbiology lecture exam. It was on the Microbial metabolism chapter, a very challenging chapter. I am over the moon that my hard work payed off!! :)

Sorry to brag.

No time to relax though.. lab practical on Thursday. Lab seems a lot less dificult than lecture though.

Awesome! That is some tough content! I hope that things do slow down a little bit soon... Keep up the good work.

How about some ideas on how you studied for the test? I have that test coming up in about 2 weeks.

I have to get back to you later tonight after class.. But I do have some tips. What chapters will be on your test?

Microbial Metabolism, microbial nutrition :uhoh3:

That is so fantastic! I have a test tomorrow on metabolism, nutrition, and genetics. I will not be getting an A. :( You should be very proud of yourself! That is difficult stuff.

Congratulations!!! That is great!!! I would be very happy and want to brag too!!!

I just wouldn't rely totally on your notes. Try and understand everything in the chapters as well. Our teacher tested heavy on microbial metabolism.. Knowing the products of glycolosis, krebs cycle, and the eletron transport chain was big.. Knowing where they took place was big. Final electron acceptors was on there... Fermentation questions etc. Tape your lectures. Study with a classmate. Use any disks that came with your book. Understand it, so you can answer application questions. Leave no stone unturned, act like ALL the material is going to be on the test. (my micro teacher has given me a complex, on the first test I figured out not to trust what she says is going to be on the test). Best of luck :)

Congrats :)

Micro is tough.

That has pretty much been the way my teacher is too. Do not rely on his notes, study out of the book and know how to apply all the concepts to life. The only difference is is took me the 2nd test to figure it out.....I am a little slow :)
