I haven't seen anyone start a thread about applying for this year's HRSA scholarships. I am waiting to see if I am accepted into a school in IL (fingers crossed!) and then I am going to start my application process for HRSA. The program I am applying to is a 16 months ABSN that starts in august! what about you all?

Have you been accepted some where yet? Still in the application process? Already started the Scholarship application?

I called two weeks ago to clarify this and was told that I only needed to write it on the essays because everything else had my info on it. I also specifically asked about the birth certificate and was told that they would never make me write on that type of document. You can do whatever makes you comfortable or call like previously suggested ? 

? thanks for that info. I’m going to call. I didn’t write on my birth certificate, after I scanned it into a PDF file I added it on there through Adobe in the corner.

I don’t remember verbatim what the HRSA rep told me but she instructed me to put July 1 2021 to June 30 2022 for year 1. And for year 2, she told me to put July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2022. My program is a 15 month ABSN program and it start August 31, 2021 to December 2022 Basically it’s to ensure I have coverage for for the duration of the program since it’s more than a year. I’m sorry if that was confusing but I would suggest calling them directly and have them walk you through thy part.

Hey everyone ! So happy I found this thread . I’m wondering for the verification of acceptance/ good standing form , do we complete it or does our school complete it

Hey Veralda,

We don’t fill it out, someone in the nursing department of your program needs to like the director. Reach out to them ASAP to do it for you and upload. Hope this answered your question.

do you know when we can expect to hear back on if we got it or not

Honestly, from what I heard from previous applicants, it can take anywhere from 1 to 4 months to hear back. Latest would be September 30. However, I heard if they do a credit check on you then that's a good sign, not saying your 100% in, but it's a possibility ;)
