I haven't seen anyone start a thread about applying for this year's HRSA scholarships. I am waiting to see if I am accepted into a school in IL (fingers crossed!) and then I am going to start my application process for HRSA. The program I am applying to is a 16 months ABSN that starts in august! what about you all?

Have you been accepted some where yet? Still in the application process? Already started the Scholarship application?

Congrats to everyone that got emails! Does anyone know how long it is until we hear back after we confirm our intent?

It says we’re not guaranteed the award even after we confirm our intend. Does anyone know what the chances are?

Also, when would we receive our first payment? Do they sent the stipend out monthly or per quarter/semester?

I applied last day of the extension and got a credit check. my EFC is zero and I'm in a BSN program. I haven't gotten an email yet though.

I’m thinking we could receive a email this week or next week . 
I wanted to call and ask but the wait time ?

Feeling confused and discouraged. I have an EFC of 0. And am admitted to start a women’s health program NP (which I thought had special funding this year). I do not see anything on my credit report. No email. No status change. Very confused and discouraged. I submitted my application before the first May deadline too.

This girl got the scholarship and talked about how they paid her from May till she started school. Her first check was more than the $1400 or so. Watch the video guys

I have an efc of 0. I haven’t heard a peep.

my GPA is 3.5 with a 4.0 just last Spring. I had multiple leadership positions while in school and even though I didn't have experience with the organizations they asked about my entire community that I grew up in is an underserved population. I wrote about being black, being a woman, and being queer in one essay. in the other, I wrote about my dreams of becoming a neonatal nurse practitioner and opening low to no cost critical care clinics for peds and neonates in urban and underserved areas. 

 

I really hope I get the scholarship. I know getting a credit check is a good sign but dang I'm nervous.
