Hello everyone,
Happy happy day I got the HRSA nursing scholarship! Anyone else get it? Good Luck to all who applied.

Hello,
Thanks for the congrats. I do not work so my EFC is 0. My husband works, but I'm guessing they only look at my income.

Hmm that's weird, because I dont' work either and my EFC is high (1900 I think) They base it on my DH's income ($40K) but we have 3 kids plus he pays out $9500 a year in child support, so our total countable income isn't that high at all after they take out the deductions for that stuff. I wish I knew how the system worked! *sigh* Anyway, thanks for the info, sorry for being so nosy but I'm trying to find some funding :) CONGRATS AGAIN!

Did they give you any sort of idea of where you will have to work around here? I know you have to work a min. of 2 yrs at a place with a critical shortage of nurses, but I dont know where around here would be considered as such a location. Im interested in applying for next term, but I dont want to get stuck working in a hell-hole for 2 yrs!! Please PM me or just write it here. Thanks!!
