I'm starting this thread for the new applicants for the hrsa nursing scholarship 09-10. Tor prettylady, I think its a random selection. Its the luck of the draw.

I remember reading on last year's post that people got their money posted around 6 am. Nothing for me today. Anyone else get anything? I know the e-mail said on or about the tenth but i was just wondering!

Hello HRSA recipients,

My mom receive her payment early this morning. She follows this thread but is not a registered member. It is a real blessing and hope I am blessed with the scholarship next year. Good luck everyone!!!

morning Guys! I did get a payment this morning but, it was $1600 dollars... I am so glad to have gotten that because, I was wondering how I was going to pay my bills. I wanted to know though why it was just $1600? The email said it was also going to include retro pay back to July right? Please post a reply if anyone got any thing different. I am in Florida and it is 7:51am so maybe more will come latter.

Monique08 do u know if your Mother got her full amount or a partial payment like me

No, she received back payment from August for the monthly stipend because she started her program in August. She also received the ORC payment. You should contact them because that is not even the full payment amount for the ORC payment.

Vikings203, I received my payment today too, I know that they deducted federal taxes only. State and local taxes are to be deducted when we file our taxes I believe. As for you receiving $1,600, that's strange because the ORC payment is 1848.So your amount must be a mistake. I received my ORC plus 5 months payment minus federal taxes. My federal taxes appeared to come to about a $1,500 deduction. I received payments retropactive from July only because I had school July and August too. When did your fall semester start?

Well, I will call as soon as the call center opens and hope the mistake can get fixed. thanks guys for the info
