The application process hasn't even started yet but I didn't even find out about last year's scholarship until a couple days before the deadline. I did get my application in on time but was not fortunate enough to be a recipient. I intend to apply again for the upcoming scholarship. Any tips from those that were accepted? My EFC is 0, I'm in an undergraduate program, and my GPA is 3.4.
I live in Indianapolis and I applied for the scholarship. My credit has not been checked yet either. My app is currently "under review" also. I wonder if anyone else is experiencing the same problem that I am. When I log into the program portal, the "other supporting documents" link is missing. I uploaded my current transcript to that link so I hope that that link was not over-looked. Also I can not open essays 1 and 2, but I can open essay 3. For some reason essays 1 and 2 are .docx files and essay 3 is a .doc file. Somehow the first two essays were converted because I know that I double checked to make sure I could open them before I submitted them. Is anyone else unable to open any of their documents?
**To answer your question, Libra1976, someone posted a couple pages back that although we can't see the supported documents tab, whoever is reviewing our application can. This is information that they found out from calling HRSA, and it may or may not be 100% true. If you don't mind me asking, why did you upload your transcript there instead of in the section for transcripts?

The missing link for the supporting documents is a problem many experienced...look back in the forum pages and it is talked about. As far as the documents, i thought i had read something stating loading the documents as pdf's was preferred. Maybe that's why you are having problems??? The other end has to convert the documents? I'm not sure. I'd call!
I don't recall seeing anything about PDf files. When I called to ask about the missing link the rep wasn't able to give me much information other than the fact that since my app is still under review that that was a good indication that all the documents were submitted. I just wondered if anyone else had that issue.

It is in the application and program guidance on page 23. It says preferred and it would expedite processing of the application...don't fret! Maybe it's just taking them longer because they have to convert or something. Here is the guidance packet found on hrsa's website.

For future reference...just in case you need it for something else, you can combine pdf's into one. I'm not sure if you use a mac or a pc but on my mac i use the preview application. If you google search how to combine pdf's into one large on you should find a ton of resources on how to do it! I hope that this helps!
Oh, I see. Well, I'm sure you're fine and that they've got it. I wouldn't be too worried about it, especially given what the rep told you.Well Soon2benurse25, I scanned copies of both transcripts and I couldn't figure out how to upload both documents under the same link. I noticed that there was the "other supporting documents" linked so I made use of it.
I have a pc, and I think you have to have adobe acrobat to combine files, which is really inconvenient. But maybe you could combine files with adobe reader, as well? Wow! I thought we were beyond the point of nursing school where were so competitive with each other... I've been watching thus thread for a long time and it seems like every time one person puts up new info or something that they heard or experienced from previous years... Another person comes and shoots them down. None of us really know what will happen because we're not the judges. We all did our best to prepare our applications to be reviewed. At this point it's out of our hands... GOD has a plan for each and everyone one of us and we will find out soon enough! My prayers are for all applicants! Keep hope alive and hang in there!
