2012-2013 HRSA Nursing Scholarship Application

The application process hasn't even started yet but I didn't even find out about last year's scholarship until a couple days before the deadline. I did get my application in on time but was not fortunate enough to be a recipient. I intend to apply again for the upcoming scholarship. Any tips from those that were accepted? My EFC is 0, I'm in an undergraduate program, and my GPA is 3.4.

I think it may be more so they will inform the people who are considered ineligible that they are. they usually do that first so that these people aen't waiting around for a decision, when they aren't even eligible for the scholarship. The inelligible haven't been told yet right? I seriously doubt the scholarship will be given out a month before they said you should hear something. If the past years are an indicator, you usually hear that you received the reward after the date they give, not way before. Didn't they say Aug 31- Sept. 31?

Last year several applicants had their credit checked around July 22 - 25, and found out they had been offered the scholarship around August 15/16.

What if you just dont have credit/credit card?? haha im 21 and Ive only used a debit card for these past 4 years haha. Also I just graduated college and I am in a grace period in my loans so I definitely haven't defaulted any of them.
