2012-2013 HRSA Nursing Scholarship Application

The application process hasn't even started yet but I didn't even find out about last year's scholarship until a couple days before the deadline. I did get my application in on time but was not fortunate enough to be a recipient. I intend to apply again for the upcoming scholarship. Any tips from those that were accepted? My EFC is 0, I'm in an undergraduate program, and my GPA is 3.4.

Does anyone who has had their credit pulled mind telling where they are from ? I'm from Indiana and I hear they do it by region... Haven't had mine pulled yet by the way

Does anyone know when they gave out the first living stipend last year? I know it says no later than Nov. but wanted to ask someone who actually received the scholarship!

I would like to know that info as well. I also would like to know about:

ORC (other reasonable costs)

does tuition get paid out before we get stipend or at the same time which seems to be around November?

I can't wait for this process to be over

Looking at last year, many people didn't have their credit checked well into August. Mine hasn't been checked either but still hopeful.

Where are u from if you don't mind me asking? I've heard from previous post that the pull credit by region!

Yes that may be correct from last year, there were applicants who didn't get theirs pulled until August 3rd 4th so there's still hope!!!

They pulled my credit on 7/16

Just a reminder from previous years credit is pulled at different times. They start in July and seem to keep going through August. They are not checking credit for your score or how you pay your bills, just to see if you have defaulted on any loans. Not everyone seems to get their credit pulled, only the people making it to the next round. But depending on where you live will determine when it gets pulled.
