2019-2020 HRSA Nursing Corps Scholarship

I can't seem to find a thread on the latest round of Nurse Corps Applications, So I'll start. My initial point is more of me venting, but guess I'll ask - Should I even continue with my application? The new cycle and FAFSA wants us to use 2017 tax info, but in 2017, I was preparing for school and was employed full-time. Now that I'm collecting pennies and in dire need of assistance, it looks like my EFC is almost 8000. I can rarely work in reality. I'm really disheartened and confused as to why the FAFSA is set up like that.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

I'm getting nervous! I received an email Wednesday that I was considered a finalist, yesterday I uploaded all my bank acct info, forms, etc. Today I received an email from credit karma that there was a credit check on my acct. Crossing my fingers, hoping it doesn't take too long to find out?!?! EEK!

Good afternoon everyone.

I got my award confirmation on August 6th, credit check on August 7th! My status remains as an applicant and still reads “in final review”. I’m sooo scared right now. Anyone know if I’m ok or not?

Also to the people that have been getting phone calls, what kind of number do they call from? I get spam calls allll day long and never answer. Will they email you if you do not answer?

I never got this email but I did get an email from a man with the subject “Scholarship Award”. I’m so confused because it seems so iffy and no one really knows what’s going on ugh

Ugh mid-September can’t come fast enough. Hopefully we don’t see too much of a repeat of last year where finalists get flung off last minute.

I never received this email and double checked to be sure everything was there. Did you receive this email right after you uploaded everything?
